Tryouts for the 2019 Varsity Wildcat Football Team will be held after school at 3:30pm on Thursday, Dec. 6th. We will meet in front of the Football Weight room. Student athletes should bring clothes to workout in such as shorts, tshirt, shoes and/or cleats. Tryouts will last till about 4:30pm.

Seniors, here's your chance for some FAFSA help! There will be a Financial Aid workshop Thursday, December 13th from 4-7 pm in EHS Library. Bring a parent and 2017 tax documents!

Any JUNIORS interested in being considered to represent EHS this summer at Arkansas Governor's School need to sign up in the Guidance Office no later than December 13th.

Lady Cats Soccer Tryouts begin at 4:30 pm Monday December 3rd at the stadium.

Looking for a gift for your friends? Or teachers? Or fellow teachers? Beta club has the answer! Next week, Beta club members will be selling Christmas stockings in the commons during all three lunch shifts. Small stockings will be $3, medium stockings $5, and large stockings $10. Stockings will be delivered the week before semester exams begin. Make plans to purchase your stockings next week!

Congratulations to the Wildcat Basketball Team for defeating the Camden Fairview Cardinals 90-63. Jo Ramey had 29pts, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Brenden Johnson added 28 points and 4 rebounds while Brendan Simmons recorded his first double/double with 10 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Thank you Jazz Cats, Cheer, Faculty, and as always the 6th man for coming out to support us. The Cats travel to Hot Springs to take on Little Rock Central at 7pm tonight. Go Cats! Congratulations to LCB for beating Camden 52-46. Jessica Morton led the way with 16 points 6 rebounds. Breya Clark had 10 points, 4 steals. Tasia Richardson had 7 points, 3 assists, Amyiah Williams had 7 points, 3 rebounds and Diamond Hawthorne had 7 points, 10 rebounds. This brings LCB's record to 6-1. Good job Ladies!

Attention SENIORS! You have until Christmas break to bring Mrs. Cross a $50 deposit to hold your senior ad space. This is your chance to guarantee you're own personalized section of the yearbook. If you place a deposit, it counts toward your total ad price and you have until March to pay it in full. If you don't place a deposit, you can still buy an ad, but only if you bring in the full amount before the March deadline and space is not guaranteed.

Beginning in 2019, Lockheed Martin will award 200 scholarships of $10,000 per student – renewable each year. The program will continue to add up to 200 new recipients each year for an investment of $50 million over five years. The program will be open to individuals studying engineering or computer science that demonstrate financial need and come from underrepresented or underserved communities. The initial focus will be on four-year U.S. college or university attendees, but the program has the capability to expand globally as well as to two-year community college attendees. Mentoring opportunities will be a key component of the program, and recipients will also be eligible for a Lockheed Martin internship following their freshman year in college. This scholarship is designed to aid intelligent and creative students who are interested in a career in STEM who would otherwise have difficulty fulfilling that dream. This is a clear effort to diversify the pool of future engineers to better position the company to have more inventive solutions and create a culture that better represents what the rest of the country looks like. Diversity is a word that opens doors to new perspectives and shifts "singular" ideologies. Congratulations to the FRESHMEN GIRLS and the FRESHMEN BOYS basketball teams on their wins last night! Both teams played Camden Fairview and had outstanding games! The girls had a huge 37-13 victory. The girls were led by Kalese Moseby with 9 points, Braylee Johnson with 7, Kyra Harris with 7, and Carshaila Rozier with 6. This brings their record to 4-0, and they will face Pine Bluff this Thursday. Great job, ladies! The boys had blow out win. The boys were led by David Aryee with 12, Daylon Wilbourn with 11, and Jordan Miller and Sharmon Rester with 8. This win brings them to 4-0, and they will face Pine Bluff Thursday. Way to go, guys! If you haven't made it to a freshmen game, mark your calendars! Their next game is this Thursday in Pine Bluff, and their next home game is Monday, November 26th vs. Monticello at 5pm.
