Congratulations to the Class of 2024 and our parents, family, and friends. We know you are extremely proud of your Senior Wildcat!
Graduation is fast approaching and we would like to share more specific information on what you can expect on Monday, May 20th. The El Dorado High School graduation will begin at 8 pm inside Memorial Stadium. Admission is free to the public.
Livestream:
Like the last few years, ESD will livestream graduation on our YouTube channel. Follow our website and social media channels for updates and a link to the live stream on the day of graduation.
Clear Bag Policy
The clear-bag policy will be enforced this year. (See the handout below for a complete list of approved bags, an illustration of acceptable small bags, and the not allowed list.) Bags that do not meet specifications must be returned to vehicles. Press, media, and medical personnel must show proper credentials.
Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5 x 6.5 inches
Clear tote bags
One-gallon plastic bags
No weapons of any type
No smoking, vaping, use of tobacco, or drugs
No animals permitted (with the exception of registered service animals)
Stanley cups are allowed but will slow down the metal detector process!
Special Considerations
Memorial Stadium has handicap-accessible seating available. Handicap-accessible seating can be found by entering the North gate and handicap seating can be found at the North end of the stadium.
Traffic & Parking
Parking is on a first come first serve basis. Expect delays in the area of Memorial Stadium. Additional parking areas are available at the Municipal Auditorium and Hugh Goodwin Elementary School.
Entrance
Arrive early to avoid congestion at entry. The two main gates will open at 6:30 pm. Lines will be formed as indicated by traffic cones and saw horses. Graduates will use the sidewalk coming from the Municipal Auditorium and check directly onto the field. All other parties will enter through one of the main gates.
We are extremely excited to celebrate the Class of 2024 and look forward to hosting family and friends at Memorial Stadium on Monday, May 20, 2024. Please know that dozens of district administrators and staff will be attending and overseeing this special event. If you need any assistance at all please let us know. Also, our El Dorado School District Police Officers along with the Union County Sheriff's Office will be providing security for this special event.
