march recognition

Congratulations to the El Dorado School District Honorees of the Month from Northwest Elementary.

Northwest Elementary Student of the Month: Loralai Frisby.

Student of the Month is 4th grader, Loralai Frisby. She is the daughter of Merle
and Aren Frisby. Her Teacher, Mrs. Fulco, stated that Loralai is an amazing
student and friend who everyone should strive to be like. She always follows
directions and treats other students and teachers with respect. She is very
dependable, always completing all of her work. She is a great helper who is
sweet and humble.

Mrs. Floss, her principal, describes Loralai as the greatest example of a Northwest
Roadrunner. She is like “ROADIE” in every way: Respectful, Openhearted,
Aware, Determined, Independent, and Encouraging. “I am so thankful that
Loralai’s parents shared her with us for the last five years and will truly miss her
smiling face next year.”

Northwest is so proud to have Loralai Frisby honored as the Northwest student of
the month.

Northwest Elementary Classified Employee of the Month: Amy Reep.

Classified Employee of the Month is Nurse Amy Reep. She has been in nursing
for 28 years and has spent 10 of those years in the El Dorado School District.
Mrs. Amy Reep’s middle name is “above and beyond.”  She does this every day to
ensure the safety and health of our Northwest students. Her role, during the
pandemic, has grown greatly and she has risen to the challenge by taking extra
precautions, updating spreadsheets, keeping us all informed, while still handing
out lots and lots of bandaids and ice packs.  Nurse Amy does all this while loving
on all our students with a smile and usually a funny joke!

Mrs. Sherry Floss, her principal, says “Nurse Amy goes out of her way to help
whenever she can. With all the challenges of the past two school years, she is
certainly our MVP!”

Northwest loves Mrs. Amy Reep and is so thankful to have her honored as our
Northwest Classified Employee of the Month.

Northwest Elementary Certified Employee of the Month: Cristal Childress.

Certified Employee of the Month is Cristal Childress. She received her degree in
Elementary Education K-6 from Arkansas State University and is currently
teaching 2nd-grade Literacy.

Mrs. Cristal Childress's passion for teaching shines bright in every way; from her
smile that lights up a room to her energetic, engaging lessons.  She is dedicated to
her work:  creative, compassionate, and consistent. Her coworkers say that she is
not only an amazing, hardworking teacher, but a great team leader in the PLC
process.  Mrs. Childress is always smiling, positive, dedicated, and making
learning fun for her students.

Mrs. Sherry Floss, her principal, says Northwest is a happier, brighter place
because Mrs. Childress is a part of it!  She shows her love for her students and
their learning by holding high expectations for all of them and celebrating with
them every time they grow.  Her classroom is such a warm and inviting place
where every student is important and learning comes first.

Northwest is honored and beyond thankful to have Mrs. Cristal Childress as part
of their family and as the Northwest Teacher of the Month.
