We are excited to share some highlights from the past week at Washington Middle School. Our House Campaigns have kicked off, bringing a sense of enthusiasm and friendly competition among our students. Don't forget that Election Day is on November 7th, and our Diva Knights will be performing during the House Election Assembly.

| Family Night | During our 2nd Annual Family Night House Party, we had an incredible turnout, with a total of 847 people attending. Congratulations to the red house for winning the competition that night with a total of 256 members present. Thank you to all the families who joined us for this memorable event.

| Aim small, Miss small | We are also proud to announce that the WMS 6th Grade Archery Team's first meet will be on November 11th at Benton, LA. Good luck to our talented archers!

| Thanksgiving Break Countdown | Thanksgiving Break Countdown: There are only a few weeks left until Thanksgiving Break! We hope you have plans to enjoy quality time with your loved ones during this well-deserved break.

| Thank You | As we eagerly anticipate Thanksgiving Break, let's take a moment to reflect on the importance of gratitude. Thanksgiving is a time to express appreciation for all the wonderful things in our lives. We are grateful for the continued partnership and support of our Washington Middle School families. Together, we can make a positive difference in the lives of our students. |

- November 1st: 5th Grade GT - Gifted and Talented program meeting for 5th-grade students will be held on this day.
- November 2nd: House Color Wars - Get ready for a fun-filled day of friendly competition as our houses battle it out in the House Color Wars. Show your house spirit by wearing your house colors!
- November 6th: Math Interim - Students will be assessed on their math skills during the Math Interim.
- November 7th: House Election Assembly & Election Day -Students will hear from their peers who is running for a position. Following the House Election Assembly will students will participate in Election Day.
- November 10th: Snackathon - Our monthly Snackathon event will take place on this day. Students will have the opportunity to enjoy a variety of delicious snacks.
- November 13th-17th: American Education Week - We will be celebrating American Education Week with various activities and events throughout the week. Stay tuned for more details.
- November 15th: 6th Grade GT - Gifted and Talented program meeting for 6th-grade students will be held on this day.
- November 16th: Picture Make Up Day - If your child missed the initial picture day or would like a retake, they will have the opportunity to do so on this day.
- November 20th-24th: Thanksgiving Break - Washington Middle School will be closed for Thanksgiving Break. Enjoy this time with your loved ones and have a safe holiday.
- November 30th: Science Interim - Students will be assessed on their science knowledge during the Science Interim.
