Ms. Escamilla's Spanish Culture class experienced eating a Rosca de Reyes, better known as King Cake. This traditional sweet bread is baked and eaten for Three Kings Day. "Rosca" means wreath and "Reyes" means kings, so the name "Rosca de Reyes" means King's Wreath. It is common to hide a figurine of a baby inside the dough before eating. Whoever gets the slice of bread with the figurine must host the next cultural celebration, Candlemas, on February 2nd.
