On Wednesday, April 28, El Dorado High School and the El Dorado Education Foundation hosted the 14th annual Academic Signing Day.
Nearly 300 graduating seniors signed their academic letters of intent as they celebrated receiving the El Dorado Promise Scholarship, a partnership between El Dorado School District and Murphy Oil Corporation.
THANK YOU MURPHY OIL!
Speakers included EHS Principal Sherry Hill, El Dorado Mayor Veronic Smith-Creer, El Dorado Promise Director Sylvia Thompson, Murphy Oil Board Member R. Madison Murphy, Arkansas Speaker of the House of Representatives Matthew Shepherd, R-El Dorado, Superintendent Jim Tucker, and University of Arkansas Head Men's Basketball Coach Eric Musselman.
Although the NCAA would not approve for Coach Musselman to make an in-person appearance, he did send a video that can be viewed below.
The entire ceremony was recorded and can be viewed below.
Graduation will be held on May 17 at 8pm. It is a ticketed event; however, it will be live-streamed.
Congratulations to the Class of 2021!
