Today, Northwest Students participated in Read for the Record. Qui Nguyen, screenwriter for the hit Disney animated movie Raya and the Last Dragon, as well as an El Dorado High School graduate, was the celebrity reader for this year’s virtual “Read for the Record” program with the El Dorado School District. Then students were able to see a a Patchwork Dragon parade down the hall. During the day, students completed several activities to correspond with the book. At the end of the day, students were able to show their work during a school wide parade. Also, students in kindergarten through second grade were able to receive a copy of the book to take home. Thank you to the El Dorado Foundation for purchasing the books.
