We regret the inconvenience caused by the statewide Internet outage during our state test. Please take note of the schedule changes. Despite this, we're immensely proud of our 6th graders for their resilience. Rest up, and we'll tackle our math state test tomorrow.

We're gearing up for our amazing annual STEAM Day event at WMS and we need your help! As part of our efforts to promote sustainability and creativity, we're collecting recycled or recyclable materials, as well as old costumes, for our various STEAM projects.
Got any cardboard boxes, paper tubes, bottle caps, or other recyclables lying around? Don't toss them out just yet! Donate them to our STEAM Day collection and watch them transform into incredible creations in the hands of our students.
And for our talent show during STEAM Day, we're in need of old costumes! Whether it's a superhero cape, a princess dress, or a funny hat, your gently used costumes can help our students showcase their talents in style.
Thank you for your support to our students and their education!

Last week Washington Middle School’s Archery team had students participate in the Western National Archery Championship in Salt Lake City, Utah. These students qualified for Nationals by placing top 10 overall in their division and gender. These students are Priscialla Martinez (5th Grade), Aubrey Kilgore (5th Grade), Zackary Hargett (5th Grade) , and Josie Mann (6th Grade). These students were also being coached by Coach Escamilla on this trip.
These students shot on Saturday, April 27th, 2024 with a goal to place top 10 (again) for their division and gender. If they were able to achieve the goal they would qualify for the World (or Open) Championship in Daytona Beach, Florida on June 6th - 8th. Of the following students, Prisciall Martinez was able to achieve that goal.
“I am very proud of our students that were able to qualify for Nationals. Many students across the state and country do not get the opportunity to say they did such a feat. These students worked hard all year. Practiced during and after school multiple times a week, shooting at home, and shooting at Slingin’ Arrows. No matter the outcome, I was already proud of these kids. With that being said, I would like to congratulate Prisicilla Martinez on having her season continue.
I would also like to say a big thank you to Coach Escamilla for taking the time to be the head coach on this trip. She has put in so much work with the kids this season and helped run the meets this year. I knew she’d be just fine being the “head honcho” on this trip. The kids really enjoyed being with her. Couldn’t have had the season we had without her (and our sponsors of course!)”
