Students in Mrs. Hickmott's classes set measurable and attainable New Year "Matholutions" today. Each student developed 3 steps they could take to achieve this goal by Spring Break. Then, these goals were hung around their classroom to serve as a reminder everyday!

This week Cayden Adam's taught her Mini Art class how to make friendship bracelets. Her mother, Mrs. Casey, provided the string for the bracelets.

Today in Ms. Odom's class, before students dropped everything to read, they played a Gimkit to review everything they learned this week about our house countries. They played students versus teacher and the students won!
DEAR Day in science means having astronauts in space read us books! Students had a great time today in Ms. Escamilla's class!

WMS Literacy and Math Breakfast Clubs held drawings for $50.00 gift cards. Each day that students attended their club, their name was placed in the drawing. This semester winners were Eric Flores and Kinley Smith.
Emilio Morton taught several of his Mini Art classmates how to make Oragami ornaments for the holidays!

This Thursday, December 17th will be D.E.A.R Day (Drop Everything And Read). Students will also have the opportunity to participate in the December Snack-a-thon put on the WMS PTO. Please see the attached flyer for more information!
The WMS orchestra students did a wonderful job today during their short, socially distanced Christmas Concert. Way to go students!

Washington Middle School was honored at tonight's El Dorado School District's school board meeting. Victoria Bennett was named, Teacher of the Month, Kerrigan Shelton was named Student of the Month, and Angela Moore was named Classified Employee of the Month. Mrs. Hale also did a wonderful job of showing off all the cool things happening at WMS for the school board.
Congratulations! WMS is so incredibly proud of each of you!

Congratulations to Coach Ezell for being named Golf Coach of the Year by All Arkansas Preps! We are so proud! Thank you for serving our Wildcats for the last 18 years and thank you for leading both our boys and girls teams to the state championships this year!
Sir Harley Houndstooth III has completed his set of challenges to leave the island successfully. Students helped him in the final challenge by making a boat/raft that must float on water.

Students in Mrs. Taylor's class are working with partners to create anchor charts about homophones/homonyms, and then they will teach the class about them using these anchor charts.

Kamya Jones is modeling her recycled dress. This was a project in Artology, to design a piece of clothing from recycled materials and model it. Way to go Kamya!
