El Dorado Promise: El Dorado Promise Scholarship applications are due Friday October 1. Forms were given to Seniors August 25th. Additional forms are available in the Guidance Office or can be requested from Mrs. Thompson at sylvia.thompson@esd-15.org. Turn forms in to the Guidance Office.
TSA: TSA fundraiser packets are to be turned in TODAY, September 15th to Mrs. Virden or Mrs. Johnson.
Guidance Office: El Dorado High School will be offering the PSAT (or the Preliminary SAT) on October 13th for 11th grade students who wish to participate. The PSAT provides the best practice and the most useful tools in preparation for the SAT, which is the standardized test for getting into college. Some of the benefits include: a detailed online score report, individualized Official SAT Practice on Khan Academy, and scholarship opportunities for 11th grade students. The test is $18. You must pay cash when you sign up at the front desk.
Cross Country: The cross country team has started their FanCloth fundraiser. Make sure to find a team member to buy some awesome wildcat gear. The sale runs through September 27th.
Boys Basketball: Tuesday 9/21, 9th grade and Varsity Basketball Tryouts after school. Must have an updated physical to tryout. Please see Coach Porter or Coach DeSoto if you plan on attending
Cheer: This Friday Is our first Home game and the theme is American cowboy there is also a pep rally Friday that will follow the same theme! There are 5 ways to win points for your class this Friday. Best dressed, game winner, best section decor, class yell and overall Spirit stick! So bring that red white and blue and all that spirit and will see you at the pep rally and then the game Friday go cats!
12th Man: If you are interested in riding the charter bus to the Jonesboro game, You MUST turn in the permission slip to Mrs. T by Friday, 9/17. You can pick up the permission slip from Mrs. T. Payment information is on the slip.

At tonight’s monthly school board meeting, the El Dorado School Board voted to continue the mask policy for students and staff.
The current policy requires masks, or other appropriate face coverings, for all persons present on school campuses or in school vehicles or buses, including staff, students, visitors, and others while they are inside buildings or on buses.
The Board made two changes to the policy:
--double-layered neck gaiters can be worn.
--teachers and students can take their masks off when positioned 6 feet away from others as directed by a teacher.

JV FOOTBALL GAME VS. MAGNOLIA
The time of the game has changed from 5 PM to 6 PM. The JV game is at 6 PM in Magnolia!
There will be a free COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic held at the South Ark Outdoor Expo tomorrow, Saturday, September 11th from 9am-4pm at the El Dorado Conference Center. No appointment is necessary. The vaccine is available to ages 12 and up.
