Mrs. Marlin's Chemistry students completed a lab where they boiled water and added salt to discover how the boiling point changes. Students had to weigh out salt properly and carefully pour into boiling water. Students used this information to explain inter molecular forces between the water and the salt. Very neat, Mrs. Marlin!

While we are waiting on the final results from the EHS Cross Country meet this morning, we wanted to share a special moment that happened during the meet. One of the 7th grade athletes, Zachary McMillon, went down with a knee injury at the beginning of the junior boys race. Senior JD Halstead saw what was going on and went to check on McMillon. When Halstead realized McMillon could not put any weight on his knee, Halstead took it upon himself to carry McMillion to the EHS tent for treatment. And that, Wildcat Nation, is the true spirit of being a Wildcat. Thank you, JD and Zachary, for reminding us what being a student athlete is all about: leadership, sportsmanship, and friendship! #WeAreElDorado #itsmorethansports

Mrs. Moon's seniors had their initial meeting with the College and Career Coaches to backwards plan their future. April Malone, one of the EHS College and Career Coaches, created a central webpage for all of their senior year planning. They will meet several times throughout the year to allow students to monitor their progress toward success. What a wonderful experience for our seniors!

WILDCAT FAN OF THE WEEK This week, we are honoring Tony Hooks! Just two and a half weeks after undergoing triple bypass surgery, Mr. Hooks made it to the top of the stadium to his regular seat near the press box to watch his son Cameron in the opening Wildcat game of the season last week. Mr. Hooks stayed the entire game. Mr. Hooks attends football games every week unless he's working, then he listens on the radio. He loves his family and the Wildcats, but his dedication to supporting his son shines the most! We are proud to call you a Wildcat fan, Mr. Hooks! Thanks for supporting the Wildcats! #wildcatfanoftheweek #ehsgocats
