Students in Agriculture Engineering pulled 32 radishes from their garden! We served them in the cafeteria today for 6th grade lunch!

Halloween and Red Ribbon Week fall on the same week this year. So WMS is going to have a little fun! This idea was sent to Mrs. Hale from one of our 6th grade students. She organized this and designed the graphic for us! Mrs. Hale was so proud, she couldn't say no.


Congrats to our TOP readers! We are so proud of your hard work this nine weeks! Keep it up!!
Our next AR reward will be after Christmas Break. Students must have 70 AR points by the end of the second nine weeks to participate.

Attention WOA students and parents:
Today is the first day of our new schedules. Please don't stress! We are all figuring things out. If for some reason you can't get into your new class, just email that teacher. Today will not be counted against you if you happen to miss a class.


Reminder:
Parent/ Teacher Conferences are this week on Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30- 6:30pm. You must schedule your conferences through Calendly in order to see teachers. No unscheduled conferences will be allowed. If you have questions, please email your student's teacher.


Parent/ Teacher Conferences are coming soon! Teachers are scheduling conferences this year through Calendly. You can access each teacher's Calendly through their Google Classroom. Appointments are available for October 20th and 22nd, from 3:30pm- 6:30pm.


Don't forget! Homecoming is almost here, and WMS wants to celebrate by showing our spirit!


The WMS staff carved and decorated pumpkins yesterday after school! To figure out who had the best pumpkin, we let the students vote! Each vote cost a $1 donation to the El Dorado School District Food Pantry. We were able to raise over $70! Check out our top three winners!


Student Spotlight!
Mr. Lewis's 5th grade social studies student, Jadarius Robinson, wrote an essay about typing, at his house, and shared it with Mr. Lewis this morning. He did a fantastic job! Way to go Jadarius!

Students have been learning about Volume in steam class. They read the book “The Legend of Spookley the Square Pumpkin” then, the students constructed their own “Spookley” and found the volume of it. They will also be writing the story of their pumpkin!




Mrs. Hickmott designed a digital breakout today for interventions and this is the intro video she showed her kids before they started.

Washington Middle School is so incredibly grateful for the Women's Ministry from East Main Baptist Church. Our teachers are feeling really loved today! Thank you so much for your generosity!



Today students in Ms. Escamilla's class took advantage of the wonderful weather and completed their bar graphs outside by the WMS garden. While they were there they were even able to pick a few radishes that were ready!
