Homecoming is almost here, and WMS wants to celebrate by showing our spirit!


Starting this Wednesday, October 14th, every Wednesday will be WMS Hat Day! Students can bring $1 to wear their favorite hat to school.


Ms. Christina Turner made a digital escape room to help her students understand graphing, independent and dependent variables, and positive and negative relationships between variables. They loved it!

Mrs. Hickmott's students participated in a Floor is Lava competition today to review for their 3-D Geometry test. Students, both face to face and virtual, worked as a team to keep their building from succumbing to rising lava by answering questions about volume and surface area correctly!

The Marissa Savage memorial bench has found its home on our playground. WMS misses Mrs. Savage more than we can express. The school simply isn't the same without her. We are so happy to have this place to remember her and her beautiful legacy.

6th grade social studies students have been studying Mesopotamia, so today they used play-dough and a stylus to practice writing their name in cuneiform. The play-dough represented clay tablets, students found it wasn't as easy as they thought!

Seth Bailey, University of Tennessee swimmer and Olympic trials qualifier, talked to students today in the WMS Competition Shake elective class about how to set goals, chase dreams, and what it takes to be a division 1 athlete.



Friday, 6th grade pre AP literacy classes worked in groups to read children's stories and analyze the text to complete plot diagrams.
