🍕 Exploring the culinary world with Mrs. Tanya! Friday, our amazing cafeteria staff lent a hand as students mastered the art of crafting the perfect pepperoni pizza.






Here is the reading assignment for the third nine weeks for 5th graders.


The book fair is right around the corner; it will be held from February 12 to 15 and will be open during parent/teacher conferences.


We had had over 200 students in both 5th & 6th grade show growth on at least one of their STAR tests. That's 85% of ALL students. WOW! They were rewarded for their hard work with extra recess today.








Congratulations to Ricardo Nino for placing 1st in the 6th grade division of the Union County Math Competition. Ricardo, along with Jaxen Lemley, Kaden Hetrick, Leah Jennings, Cannon Felts, and Ralin Burdine, will be representing our school in the MathCounts competition at SAU in Magnolia. Good luck to all of them!


Many thanks to Williams Orthodontics for their continued support of our AR reading incentive store. We know students will be excited to "purchase" the sweet treats that Williams Orthodontics just sent!

Several students earned a free sno cone for improvement on both of their STAR tests. Students who showed growth in at least one test will earn a free recess next week.

Here are your 2024 classroom spelling bee winners and runners-up. The first-place winners will be participating in the school-wide spelling bee next Monday, January 29th. We’re excited and can’t wait to see who makes it to the county spelling bee! Good luck to all our contestants 🐝 💜







We are about a month away from the Mardi Gras Good Behavior Dance! The dance will be held Friday, February 23rd from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Check out the flyer below for more information on how your WMS student may attend!


Willy Wonka Jr auditions for will be held at WMS cafeteria and stage area on Monday, January 22, 2024. The auditions will be held from 3:45pm-5:45pm. Auditions are open to all WMS students. ONLY students, who have returned a signed audition consent form, will be able to sign up for an audition time slot and audition. You must have a ride to and from the auditions. Students please be in the cafeteria at least 10 minutes before your audition time. Think Positive!!!
