The Henderson State University Office of Enrollment Services and Admissions is hosting a series of in-person Reddie Days on their campus this spring! They want high school seniors who are trying to decide which college to attend in the fall to have an opportunity to spend the day at HSU learning about their over 100 academic majors, scholarship opportunities, and exploring their beautiful campus!
Students will have a chance to meet with their College Dean and representatives from their majors of interest, enjoy a campus tour, have lunch with a Reddie Ambassador in the Dining Hall, and more! Each student will also receive a Henderson State Reddie Day T-shirt!
The Reddie Day events are scheduled on the following days and are major specific. Space is limited to 65 students per event. Each student is permitted to bring one (1) guest. Social distancing guidelines will be in place and masks are required.

This snow was great timing for Mrs. Coan's class! They are studying related rates (how a change in one amount affects another changing amount), and today, after playing in the snow for a bit, they used a snowball with their class assignment!
Mrs. Coan said, "After some measurements and a few minutes of observation, we determined that as the radius was changing at -0.0625 inches per minute, the volume was decreasing at a rate of 1.227 cubic inches per minute. This “snowstorm” was serendipity."

El Dorado Schools will have a late start this morning, opening at 10:00 am. Buses will run 2 hours later than usual. Enjoy the snow and be safe!

Students in Mrs. Steele's Photo II class headed outside to take pictures of what was left of the snow this morning. They worked on their exposure and composition techniques. What a fun way to practice!
Congratulations to sophomore DeAndra Burns for being named the News-Times Football Rookie of the Year!

Mrs. Parker surprised her students with biology ornaments this year! She asked them to chose a picture from something they had learned and color it on shrinky dink paper—without truly knowing what they were doing. Then, she baked them, put strings through them, and presented students with their ornaments. What a thoughtful project, Mrs. Parker!

A special holiday message from the faculty and staff of EHS!
See you in January!
