Junior and senior Fine Arts students were able to visit with a few of the faculty members from the University of Arkansas Music Department last week. What an awesome experience!




Pre-AP students in Mrs. Parker's classes boiled leaves in alcohol to remove pigment and tested for starch in different environmental conditions to test how that condition affects starch.
Any 10th-12th grade BOYS who are interested in running track this year need to come see Mr. Coach Curtis during your lunch shift.

The University of the Arkansas Design Camp will be held this summer at various locations. Design Camp offers the chance to learn about the design professions through hands-on projects, tours and discussions led by architecture, landscape architecture and interior design faculty of the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design. Students will have the opportunity to work closely with faculty and collaborate with peers in a fun and creative studio environment while they walk with you through the design process. In summer 2020, two different weeklong camps will take place on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville; campers also have the option to stay overnight in a campus residence hall. Additional weeklong day camps are planned in Hot Springs, Little Rock, El Dorado and Wilson. New this year, a two-week-long residential Immersive Camp will be held on the U of A campus for more experienced designers.
Design Camp Locations: The Fay Jones School is hosting seven Design Camp sessions in five cities across Arkansas in summer 2020:
Fayetteville Camp 1 June 8-12 / University of Arkansas, Fayetteville (entering grades 9-12) (*overnight option)

Cost for the two-week Fayetteville Immersive Camp is $1,520 through March 2nd, and then $1,620 through May 22nd.
*Room and board for the weeklong residential camp in Fayetteville is an additional $300. Need-based full and partial scholarships are available.

The University of Arkansas Music Department will be at EHS for a regional scholarship audition on January 9th. This is for band, orchestra, or vocal students interested in attending the University of Arkansas. All students from local area high schools are invited!

The EHS Lady Cats Soccer team tryouts will be held at the stadium beginning at 4:30 on Tuesday January 7-10. If anyone has any questions, feel free to call Coach Matt at (254) 466-7941.
